RSVSR Why Find Frequency Modulation Boxes Guide ARC Raiders

You know that sting in ARC Raiders when you've finally got momentum, then Phase 4 of the Expedition Project slams the brakes on everything. One minute you're extracting like a champ, the next you're stuck hunting a single stupid item: Frequency Modulation Boxes. If you're also trying to keep your stash healthy (or you're eyeing ARC Raiders Coins to smooth out the rough edges), you'll want a plan that doesn't burn three kits per attempt.

Where they actually show up.

The game acts random, but it isn't. Not really. Frequency Modulation Boxes are tied to Exodus Points of Interest, and right now that basically means one place: Stella Montis. If you're looping beginner areas and hoping the box appears in a locker, you're just donating time to the void. On Stella, focus your route toward the same trio players keep whispering about: Assembly, Business Center, and Medical Research. These spots have better loot density, and they're structured in a way that lets you sweep quickly if you don't get bogged down.

Getting there without becoming someone's highlight clip.

Stella Montis isn't friendly. Everybody knows the good rooms, so squads drift there like moths to a porch light. Don't stroll in on main roads. Cut through cover, take weird angles, and listen for the tells: distant gunfire, doors popping, that "someone's already here" feeling. If you spawn far, don't force the hottest building first. Hit the nearest edge of the POI, skim the outer offices, then dip in deeper if it's quiet. You're not trying to win the map. You're trying to grab a box and leave with your heart rate under control.

The low-risk "pocket it and peace out" run.

If you're broke, tilted, or just tired of losing your best gear to a random sniper line, do what a lot of players do and run light. Some go fully "naked," because the goal isn't fighting, it's shoving the box into your safe pocket the second you see it. After that, dying is annoying, not devastating. The catch is PvE pressure: Pops, Fireballs, and Ticks will happily ruin your sprint if you're careless. So move like you mean it. Hug walls, break line of sight, don't stop to admire loot piles, and bail as soon as the pocket is full.

Small habits that make the grind shorter.

Keep your searches tight and repeatable. Pick one POI to learn, memorize a simple loop, and reset fast when it's dead. Don't over-loot; that's how you get pinned. And if you do find a Frequency Modulation Box, treat it like a mission item, not a "nice to have." Secure it, then either extract or cut your losses and reset, because the whole point is to get past Phase 4 without turning every raid into a full-on war—especially if you're also budgeting for RSVSR and don't want this one crafting bottleneck draining everything else you're trying to build.
